Don’t hang up your Gronkowski jerseys just yet. You can store them in the closet, but don’t put them out of arm’s reach.

The future Hall of Famer took to Instagram to announce his retirement from the NFL after nine incredible seasons. The Patriots are already swinging and missing on their second options, but may not have to worry for too long if Gronk’s agent is correct.

Drew Rosenhaus doesn’t believe Gronkowski has completely given up on football for 2019.

Nice! Now we get to wait on every single play out of the Patriots’ tight ends and put them side-by-side with Gronkowski’s social media activity!

Rosenhaus didn’t go further into detail about why Gronkowski would return, and you can see why. On one hand, he doesn’t need to prove anything else, has mulled over retirement for years now, and has already signed a TV production and movie deal.

On the other hand, he could rest up, realize how much he misses football like Jason Witten did and can join New England fully healthy and reloaded heading into the playoffs. It eliminates the wear and tear of the regular season and gives him the glory of adding a fourth Super Bowl ring to his collection.

Or, Gronk can be lured to the bright lights of Las Vegas like a moth to a flame.

All returns should be considered longshots right now, but Rosenhaus certainly left the door slightly ajar for all grieving Patriots fans.
