As we know, the NFL opted to not suspend Ezekiel Elliott for allegedly shoving a security guard, later identified as Kyle Johnson, at a Las Vegas music festival back in May. Commissioner Roger Goodell determined the All-Pro tailback did not violate the league’s Personal Conduct Policy.
The case was subsequently extended even further after Johnson responded by pressing charges against the Cowboys superstar, thinking the RB was getting off scot-free.
Fas forward over a month later, however, and it seems as though Elliott can finally put this distraction behind him. Per TMZ Sports, Zeke will NOT be charged for any crime stemming from the brief altercation.

“According to police documents the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department met with prosecutors late last month — and after reviewing all of the evidence in the case, prosecutors felt they could not move forward with charges against the Dallas Cowboys superstar,” read TMZ’s report.
In other words, authorities determined that, after interviewing all parties involved, the two-time Pro-Bowler didn’t apply the necessary force to create Johnson’s fall.
TMZ continued to note that the case against Elliott will now be closed.

That sound you hear is the entirety of Cowboys Nation breathing a compiled and profound sigh of relief — not necessarily because their franchise’s cornerstone isn’t facing charges (nobody really thought that would be the case after the NFL’s findings) — but because this is FINALLY over with.
Now, all that they’re left to clamor over is the very real problem of potentially starting the season without their most important player.
