Sorry Seahawks fans, despite Earl Thomas being present in Seattle over the past few days, don’t expect him to be on the field when Seattle takes on the Broncos.

Per Ian Rapoport, the veteran defensive back is NOT expected to suit up for Seattle this weekend, thus further extending his lengthy holdout.

On Sunday, Seahawks fans everywhere were fired up when a photo emerged of Thomas being spotted with a fan at Sea-Tac. Did it mean he was finally returning to the team and was going to start practicing?

Nope. Per Rapoport, Thomas was back in the area to be there for his young daughter, who was getting ready to start the new school year.

After losing Kam Chancellor to retirement, seeing Richard Sherman sign with the 49ers and trading Michael Bennett to the Eagles, Seattle’s once-feared defense is now looking like a completely different unit.

Will the standout safety suit up for the Hawks again? The Cowboys continue to be the rumored organization ready to strike a deal for him, but are only willing to give up a third-round pick, per reports. Seattle obviously wants more for one of the best defensive backs in the game.

For now, though, the waiting game continues for the Seahawks and their fans.
