The Jaguars are getting their man and Nick Foles is getting PAID.

According to multiple reports, the Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to sign Nick Foles shortly now that free agency has begun, and the terms of the deal are said to be massive.

At $22 million per season, Foles would be among the top 15 paid QBs in the NFL, above stars like Russell Wilson, Tom Brady, Philip Rivers and Cam Newton.

Foles rose to stardom two seasons ago, leading the Eagles to a stunning Super Bowl title after starting QB Carson Wentz was injured. Wentz was given the starting job again in Week 3 of this season, but, after getting injured in Week 14, was replaced by Foles again, who led the Eagles to the playoffs and a first-round win.

The Jaguars need that kind of veteran leadership after their failed attempt to develop Blake Bortles, who is expected to be released. Foles will step in and be an immediate upgrade. But after a disappointing season from several other players, the Jaguars need to reestablish their identity in order to make it back to the playoffs.

Foles is a good start, and at that price, they’ll need him to live up to the expectations.
