Antonio Brown Traded to Raiders

Heaven knows if this is any more official than the last time Antonio Brown was traded 48 hours ago, but it seems AB is just one year away from making his hay in Las Vegas.

The Raiders have one year left in Oakland, though, and at the cost of just a third and fifth-round pick, they’ll now receive one of the most electric wide receivers in the league, Antonio Brown.

Seems this nomadic home is preferable to Buffalo, eh?

Yes, 48 hours prior, Brown was reportedly set to go to Buffalo. Terms were being finalized. Then, by the morning, everything had turned, and the deal had, in fact, “never been close.”

That’s called crisis management. Bottom line is, Brown nixed the initial deal, and Pittsburgh had to regroup. Of course, Oakland, the wide receiver rest home of years past, is sort of where we all expected him to go anyway when this process began, so all’s well that ends well.

While most of us appear to have come to the consensus that Brown’s hitting the downside of his career, his prime will likely at least last the next few years.

The 31-year-old AB will hopefully have a better rapport with Derek Carr (or Kyler Murray?!) than he did with an aging Ben Roethlisberger. The first part of the prophecy is complete. Now what will the Raiders add to the package?
