Packers Have to Be Extremely Careful With Aaron Rodgers’ Knee Moving Forward

Although he showed why he’s one of the greatest quarterbacks in the NFL last night, Packers star Aaron Rodgers’ knee injury was a frightening sight to see for Packers fans as he was even carted off the field.

Next week they’ll be playing against a unforgiving defense in the Minnesota Vikings (the team responsible for his broken collarbone last year) and Green Bay will need to make sure they’re being safe with their franchise quarterback.

Rodgers is so clutch and talented that many people forget just how injury-prone he really is. He missed nearly all of 2013 with a broken collarbone, was hurt in the team’s 2014 playoff game against the Cowboys, and broke his collarbone again last season.

The Green Bay Packers don’t exist without Rodgers.

This was seen when backup Deshone Kizer came into the game and committed two turnovers, one being a pick-six to Khalil Mack.

They can’t afford to have another season like last year when Brett Hundley could barely get them through some games. Because of this, they better make sure Rodgers isn’t playing on a serious injury that could possibly postpone healing time.

There were times last night where he couldn’t put any weight on his leg. That is something to take note of.

We all love to watch Rodgers play, but playing it safe would be the smart thing to do for Green Bay moving forward.
