Oh, you thought the Tennessee Titans were set at the safety position following the signing of Kenny Vaccaro? If that’s the case, you’re wrong.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Titans have signed former Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs safety Steven Terrell to a contract.

As mentioned in Rapoport’s tweet, Tennessee recently had Terrell in for a tryout, and they obviously liked what they saw.

The move could have been made after rookie safety Dane Cruikshank left Thursday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers with an apparent shoulder injury, as he was seen wearing a sling.

Terrell signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars out of Texas A&M in 2013. He would then move onto the Houston Texans, and the aforementioned Seahawks. He was originally a 53-man roster cut from the Chiefs last season, but was signed to the team a week later, following the season-ending injury to Eric Berry.

In his 2017 campaign, Terrell recorded four total tackles, three passes defensed, and one interception in 10 games.

The Titans have been banged up at safety, with Cruikshank possibly missing time and Jonathan Cyprien being ruled out for the season with a torn ACL. Now, they bring in Terrell to help fill in the void.
