This is troubling news for a team that is dealing with some injuries along the offensive line right now.

Dallas Cowboys star Travis Frederick, the four-time Pro Bowl center, released a statement addressing that he has been diagnosed with Guillain Barre syndrome in the aftermath with all of his issues with stingers in his neck.

Guillain Barre syndrome is a condition in which the immune system attacks the nerves. This could explain the injuries he has been suffering from during training camp. As disappointing as it is to hear, Frederick seems to be in good spirits and provided positive news in his statement as well.

The hope is that Frederick can return to the NFL to continue doing what he loves as soon as possible. As the treatments continue and signs of progress are present, it may just be a matter of time before the 27-year-old is back on the field.

Detecting most health issues early enough results in a better chance of a positive outcome. I’m sure as long as Frederick keeps his spirits high and takes care of himself he will be suiting back up for the Cowboys in no time.
