The Atlanta Falcons, a preseason Super Bowl contender in 2018, found themselves on the outside looking in after one of the franchise’s most disappointing seasons in recent history. Finishing at 7-9 and missing out on the playoffs, there weren’t many bright spots for the team.
However, consistent as always, veteran kicker Matt Bryant performed at high levels, one of the only positives for the team.
Now, after a major coaching overhaul, the Falcons are preparing to make another run at the playoffs, and Bryant will be returning for the ride, joining the Falcons for another season and another chance at earning the franchise its first Super Bowl win.

Bryant may be turning 44 in May, but his production continues to be as strong as ever despite his increasing age. The kicker only missed one field goal in 2018 and succeeded on 33 of his 35 extra point attempts as well.
With the Falcons entering a win-now mode and the window seemingly closing fast, it’s nice to have the consistency of Bryant to rely on.

The Falcons will look to bolster their team in the upcoming NFL Draft in order to make another run at the Super Bowl. With running back Devonta Freeman beginning to develop injury problems and the offensive core aging, time is running out in Atlanta. This may be Bryant’s last year, and it’s up to the Falcons to make it count.
